Format
The ATI TEAS (Version 7) has 170 questions in 209 minutes, split into four timed sections: Reading (45 questions, 55 minutes), Mathematics (38 questions, 57 minutes), Science (50 questions, 60 minutes), and English and Language Usage (37 questions, 37 minutes). In each section a few questions are unscored pretest items (6, 4, 6, and 4), so 150 questions count toward your score, and you cannot tell which ones are unscored. The real test also uses multiple-select, fill-in-the-blank, ordered-response, and hot-spot questions; on this site every question has 4 answer choices with one correct answer. All questions here are original AI practice questions.
Passing score
There is no single national passing score. Each nursing or health-science program sets its own required ATI TEAS score, so check the programs you are applying to. This site uses 70% correct as a practice goal only; it is not an official score. There is no minimum for each section on this site.
Eligibility
Anyone can take the ATI TEAS. It is usually taken by people applying to nursing and other health-science programs. You register through ATI or through your school, and the school decides when and where you test and which score it accepts.

Study order
Start with Science, the largest section with 50 questions, and focus first on Human Anatomy and Physiology, which carries the biggest share of the section. Then move to Mathematics, where Numbers and Algebra and Measurement and Data are close in size, so practice both. Finish with Reading and English and Language Usage, and keep doing a few of these questions every day so the skills stay sharp.
Topics people often miss
Human Anatomy and Physiology covers many body systems, so learners often know some systems well and others hardly at all; review every system, not just your favorites. In Measurement and Data, unit conversions between U.S. customary and metric units cause many careless mistakes, so write the units down at each step. In Integration of Knowledge and Ideas, read the answer choices carefully, because a choice can sound reasonable but not be supported by the passage.
Test day tips
The test has 170 questions in 209 minutes, and each section is timed separately: English and Language Usage gives you only 37 minutes for 37 questions, about one minute each. Some questions are unscored, but you cannot tell which ones, so answer every question carefully. If a question is taking too long, make your best choice and move on, since unanswered questions do not earn points.

ATI TEAS exam trends

According to ATI's exam details, Reading has three content areas (Key Ideas and Details, Craft and Structure, Integration of Knowledge and Ideas), and Mathematics has two (Numbers and Algebra, Measurement and Data). Science is the largest section, with Human Anatomy and Physiology as its biggest area, followed by Biology, Chemistry, and Scientific Reasoning. English and Language Usage tests grammar and punctuation, knowledge of language, and vocabulary.

Start with the section your target program weighs most, but do not skip any section, because your total score is built from all four. Science has the most scored questions, and Human Anatomy and Physiology alone has the largest share, so steady review of body systems pays off. For math, practice unit conversions and word problems by hand until they are quick.
